Denmark doesn’t want foreign entrepreneurs

Danish immigrations to successful freelancer: “Get lost, and take your seven years of contributing positively to the danish economy with you”.

I fell through the cracks of the law because I’m freelance. I don’t provide salaried positions to Danes. And because I’m freelance I do not fill any open positions in Danish companies.
The law fails to recognize that being freelance gives Danish companies a competitive advantage by flexibly meeting demand in specialized projects. And the law also fails to recognize that through subcontracting, I’m am moving money into Danish hands.

How the heck we expect to be competetive in the digital landscape of tomorrow when we scare away and kick out the smart and innovative people is beyond me.

It's not that suprising, really. Denmark is a notoriously xenophobic country, it's just that no-one wants to admit it.
